Hi!
Decided to do something with coloured pencils and came up with this colourful pebble drawing. The water and ripples didn’t quite work out how I pictured them. Anyway, I’m still pretty happy how the drawing turned out. :)
I included a few pics of the different stages too in this post.
’til next time!

About Micke Nikander
Hi!
I'm a graphic designer and artist from Finland. I like creating pictures from scratch as much as documenting the wonders of the world through a lens. No, actually I like drawing more.. :)

it’s awesome !!
Thanks! Nice that you liked the piece. :)

I love seeing it in different stages and being able to see how you added that watery look – very cool.
Hi!
Nice that you enjoyed seeing the different stages. I usually like documenting different stages. They make a nice “behind the scenes” story for some drawings.

Water is hard to draw, but I knew what you were doing. I think you did a fine job.
Hi!
Thanks fo commenting. Yeah, water truly is a hard subject to draw but have to try it once in a while. Nice that you liked the drawing. :)

Wow, I really like this piece, each picture of progress is quite interesting in its own right. And nice to see some colour from you :D
Thanks!
Spring might have something to do with the urge to do something in colour. :)

I like this a lot, both because I’m a big colored pencil fan, and because it’s also a very challenging – yet nicely done – subject matter to attempt to render. Water and reflections are a particularly hard challenge, but you’ve got the general feel of it here.
Hi!
Yep, water is something I will try to draw another day. Maybe a bit better than in this one. Practise makes perfect(ish). :)
