Here’s a “fantasy themed” piece I finished recently. It took quite a few dots to finish but I think it paid off in the end. I used a pencil to make the first sketches, then did rough colouring with a black marker. Details and dots are drawn with a Micron 01.
Available as cool tote bags in Society 6. Check it out!

Ps. I did the first sketches while listening to Midlake’s new album Antiphon. I can recommend it as a source of inspiration. :)
this is amazing!
Thank you! :)
Nice work, the style has an old school muumi-feel to it :)
Thanks! I like the Moomin reference. Didn’t occure to me but now looking at it there’s really some similarity to Tove Jansson’s early work. :)
There’s black, there’s simple black, then there’s well-done and well-thought out black. Very rich darks in your drawings, more than just simple black and white, you also get a nice and subtle tonal range without grey involved.
Thanks! I’ve been practising the making of different shades of grey (with only black). Nice to hear it’s going in the right direction. :)
