Slovakia Road Trip (on location)

Wow, what a road trip!

We came to Slovakia through Vienna on tuesday this week. We came here to visit a friend of mine and to get to know the country a bit.

On the first day we strolled around Bratislava and got a glimpse of the mighty Danube river. We walked up to Bratislava Castle before enjoying some Slovakian beer in a few different bars. BTW: Slovakia is THE place to be if you like good beers.

On wednesday morning we set off on a road trip around Western Slovakia. We visited the Tatra Mountains which we are definitely going to go back to some day to do hiking. :)

We stayed in a traditional guest house near the picturesque town of Banská Štiavnica (really good food there). On thursday we spent a day in this old mining town and got to know some of it’s history.

I want to thank Esa and Mia (, our hosts, for getting us to see these beautiful places. :)
